Licensing FAQ

Currently, we only have two type of licenses.

  • Standard License - License purchased for a single machine
  • Site License - License purchased for unlimited machines in a single company.

1. What is an activation code?
A activation code is a twenty five-digit sequence included with all Lazcad products. Activation codes are used to activate Lazcad products.
2. Where do I find my activation code?
After you purchased a Lazcad product, you will receive an e-mail immediately with the activation code for the product.
3. How do I activate my software?
Click on About and then License Manager. You can then use Online Activation or Offline Activation. Require Administrative Right
4. How do transfer my license?
First deactivate the license in License Manager. Then re-activate in a new computer. Require Administrative Right
1. What is a site license file?
A site license file (.lic) is an encrypted file which contains license information including your company name.
2. Where do I obtain my license file?
After you purchased a Lazcad product, you will receive an e-mail immediately with a link to download your site license file for the product.
3. Where do I place the license file?
Use one of the method below
  • Copy the license file into Program Files C:\Program Files\Lazcad\Licenses
  • Copy the license file into ProgramData

You can also replace the content of the file with a path to the actual license file located on a server.
3. How do I place the license file on a server?

Copy the license file to a network location. Then replace the entire content of the license file in the client machine with the actual path of the license file.
